Journal 3: Due Friday

Respond to "People Like Us" using three different narrative voices: Your own, a contemporary music artist, and someone 30 years older than yourself. Consider all three perspectives: how do they differ? How are they alike?

    As a young adult, i feel like i am a part of a more diverse communities than somebody who is older. As a young person, I believe that having diverse communities is essiential to this nation. Growing up, my schools, church and friends have been more diverse than some one who grew up in the 60's or 70's. I feel like that this nation is diverse and becoming more and more diverse. Maybe I am just ignorant because i have not experienced a lot in life.

    A contemporary music artist might have a diffrent view of diversity. For example the rapper T.I might see diversity diffrently. His albums he sells now is for the most part sold to a certain group of people. He may not have a diverse fan base because of his own views and voice through his music.

    Someone thirty years older than myself will have a diffrent view of diversity. They grew up in a time where there was not as much diversity as there is today and maybe has given up on the idea of diversity. They may realize the realities of diversity through the wisdom they have gained through the years. They want to believe in diversity but they know it is a complex idea and they either have already formed an opinion or are too busy with work and a family to worry about diversity.
