i think that men and women are portrayed in the media. Although both sexes are constantly being criticized women tend to receive more harsh criticism. men are encouraged to be muscular and tan. women are encouraged and pushed to achieve way more. every body part is harshly criticized and must be perfect. also, i think that women critique men while women and men critique women. its also ridiculous that the female image is like Barbie when only 1 out of every 15 women actually appear to be that way. America is known for being fat and glutenous but this is still the image...it makes no sense. so, i believe both sexes are constantly being judged, creating a continuous cycle. but, men definitely have the upper hand when looking at criticism.
