research paper experiences
Over all, I basically hate research papers. Though this is true, the research papers in high school weren’t so bad because everything was step by step and turned in. We had to have 200 index cards with information to support our ideas from numerous sources and each was titled with a different section of where we might use it in our paper. This helped to keep sources with their information and bundle up information on certain topics that would go along with what was happening in the final paper. Throughout the time we had, we were basically forced to do each assignment or you would fail that part of the paper which affected the overall grade. I think the part that was the hardest for me to complete the paper was not the actual writing of the paper, but getting enough information to give supporting details to my points. Last semester in Lit 2020 proved to be a difficult research paper because we had to write 8 pages on a 4 page short story. It’s difficult to get to that page limit without adding random blurbs that wouldn’t be in there in the first place. I feel if the topic is generally broad or interesting than it is difficult to write about. I always knew it was done when I reached the final topic I wanted to talk about and finished it with enough detail to the point where I wouldn’t get points counted off for it. That or I reached the page limit and I didn’t have to put any bs in it.
