"Selling Out"

Men are not nearly as objectified as women in the media. In the media there are a number of men that are overweight and not ideal looking. For example Kevin James from the King of Queens is known and liked by a large number of people although he would be considered overweight. There are also a number of musicians that are skinny and dress funny which women like a lot. So the media does not always portray men that are muscular and good looking because men are not as objectified as much as women. Almost all women in the media have to have perfect bodies and be very good looking in order to make it into the media in the first place. There are many less occasions in which an overweight women would make it into the media than there are that of men.
