Research Research and uhhh...more Research
Throughout High school I wrote several research papers around 3 or 4. The topics ranged from dealing with literature to controversial medical topics. Each paper was different, but started with the basic premise: research. Usually, the teacher would require you to get a good amount of sources that support your topic and your side of the argument (in the case of the controversial medical topic in which I did SSRI anti-depressant medications in the use of teenager) in order to be able to effectively write your paper. In the areas I would get stuck, were the points where I had done multiple drafts of my research paper and added the information I needed only to find out I still had to write more because the teacher had a set a certain page limit/word limit you had to reach or sometimes I would write over the amount the teacher allowed and I would have to cut down. Eitherway I faced a demileea because I had to go out of my comfort zone and add on to what I thought was a "complete" paper or deleate information which I thought would hurt the paper's arguement. Besides that the most common area where I got stuck was having to start the daunting task of writing the paper which in itself took a long amount of time. Finishing the paper was a major relief as you saw your work as a complete and finished whole. I guess the only time I knew I was done was the point where I felt that I met the requirements the teacher had set along with the belief that I had written to the best of my ability.
