style at its finest
I think everyone has a writing style to some degree; some more noticeable than others. mine is very distinct. my teachers have always told me they always know when it is mine whether its a research paper or even a short paragraph. i usually have a hint of humor while using ambiguous words. i also use catchy little phrases and even make up words. this shows personality in your paper. i LOVE imagery as well. i really have been implementing it since i started taking classes as FSU. the "show, don't tell" method brings whatever you're writing to a personal level and really entices the reader. also, you cant turn a boring topic that the reader is not interested in into something magnificent. one important thing to remember while writing is your audience. when i write i might change some minor details such as vocabulary depending on the reader. for example, when writing a poem for class versus writing a poem for a children's book. but, i definitely think that i still incorporate my style just as much. i believe that what makes writing a work of art is that each person is different and no two people write exactly the same. this keeps things interesting and makes reading worthwhile!
