journal 4: research

My first research paper was my junior year. we had to do a research paper on an author and one of his major works. I remember starting off with note cards and finding sources. There were many steps that had deadlines. for example there would be a bibliography page due one day and we would bring it to class to make sure we were doing it right. we turned our research papers in in a big enveleope with all our drafts and step by step mistakes. i think it had to be ten pages but we were allowed to put pictures in for one page. I did my paper on The Catcher In the Rye by J.D. Salinger because i enjoyed reading about Holden Caulfield and all of his adventures.
