They could be worse.

I'm not exactly a fan of research papers, but they aren't my enemy. The topic of a paper makes or breaks any type of paper for me. I don't think the subject matter of this paper will be a chore, we have a lot of freedom to choose what we'll research. Sometimes these types of papers can become monotonous, but because I have a real interest in what I'll be researching hopefully this paper won't have that result.
Research papers are not for the procrastinator. That is another down (or up) side depending upon how you look at it. You have to invest a lot of time into these papers. I usually start in the library catalogs or google. I'm sure for this paper I will lean more into online sources and any pop culture media the library offers.
I run into a wall searching for sources if there is a minimum requirement. Sometimes I feel like I have found all the information I need in only four sources when ten are required, I hate feeling like I have to find nearly meaningless sources to boost the numbers. But I do feel like I've learned something from every source even if it was never included in the final product.
I've had longer research papers, and procrastinated on them. This time will be easier, if I control my tendency to slack. I know all these types of need is the right amount of attention to be stress endevours.
